Floyd Curtis Persinger
Floyd Persinger passed away peacefully at home on July 27, 2014.
Floyd was born in Essex, Missouri in December 30, 1925 to Curt and Ada Persinger.
Floyd was a Marine who fought in the Pacific conflict during WWII. After the war he married Shirley Younger in Pontiac, Michigan. Floyd and Shirley finally settled in Idaho in 1962 after having lived in Florida. He was in the shoe business for over 40 years, owning and operating stores for 30 of those years. Floyd enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and just about any sports that were on the TV.
Floyd was preceded in death by his sisters, Hazel and Imogene; his brother, Leroy; and daughter, Carol.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; sons, Bill and Jerome; grandchildren, Michelle, Amy, Cody, Nicole, and Kylie; as well as 5 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank St. Luke's Hospice and Exceptional Caregivers for keeping Floyd comfortable during his final days.
Floyd will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
