Steve Douglas Obituary
Steve Douglas
1955 - 2014
Our beloved brother, uncle, and friend, Stephen Taylor Douglas, born September 29, 1955 in Boise to parents Jacquelyn Taylor and C. Stephen Douglas, died suddenly August 6, 2014 in Boise. Steve was a bright, witty, caring, and sensitive man, and will be missed greatly by so many.
Steve attended Boise schools and graduated from Boise High in 1974. He later graduated with distinction from the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, CA. He worked for years in Seattle, WA at many of the finest restaurants there, and was a very skilled chef. Steve was happy to return to his hometown in 2005 to be near his family and closest friends.
Steve is survived by his large family of friends, some he has known most all of his life, and by his immediate family: sister Leslie and brother-in-law Kevin Shovlin; brother Matt and sister-in-law Tracie; brother Rob Ball; and five nephews- Taylor, Clayton, and Scott Douglas; Cameron and Spencer Ball. Steve always said he was so blessed to have so many loved ones in his life.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at St. Michael's Episcopal Cathedral, State and 8th St., Boise. A reception celebrating Steve's life will be held following the funeral at The Bishops' House, 2420 Old Penitentiary Rd., Boise, from 2:30-5:30 p.m. (Steve always loved a great party!) Cremation is under the direction of the Cloverdale Funeral Home.
Peace, Brother.
