Obituary Condolences Gallery

11/29/1982 8/24/2006 Jeremy was born Nov. 29, 1982 in Jacksonville, N.C., the son of a U.S. Marine. The third son of Bob and Judy King joined brothers Billy and Bobby in keeping their parents very busy for the next 20 years. For what one didn´t think of, the other did. When he was only 16 he met the love of his life, Yulonda Crawford, and predicted to his buddies Òthat´s the girl I'm going to marry!Ó And he did four years later on Dec. 18, 2002, shortly after enlisting in the Army. He was on his second tour in Iraq at the time of his death. His wife will receive his Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Jeremy was home in May for the birth of his daughter, Kaidyn. When she was one week old he returned to Iraq and was due home again the first of December. His mother´s description of Òtall, slender, cleancut, handsome; a clownÓ fits him perfectly. He lived life to the fullest and approached everything with vigor, zest, and a big smile of anticipation. One of his favorite things was finger steaks and he was never shy about asking Mom or Tanya Calkins to make them for him. In addition to his loving wife and daughter, he is survived by his parents, Bob and Judy King, his brothers Billy (Bobbie) and Bobby all of Meridian; a niece and nephew; grandparents Bill and Marlene Swetland of Meridian and Delane and Helen King of Kuna, his great grandmother Clara Inwards of Kuna; Yulonda´s uncles Greg and Mike, her aunts Tiffany and McKenzie and her mother and grandmother. He is also survived by his best friends Billy Calkins and Pat Brunton, his second parents Randy and Tanya Calkins and his extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. at the Boise 1st Community Church (Nazarene) at 3852 N. Eagle Rd. on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2006. Interment with military honors will follow the services at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Boise. Viewing for family and friends will be on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Meridian´s Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home, 105 East Carlton Avenue (Corner of main and Carlton), Meridian, ID 83642, office: 888-4454. The family invites friends to share memories and condolences at www.chapel-of-the-chimes.com , go to the obituaries and memorials link and select memorials and guestbook to share with the King family.
