John Franklin Feeler
John Franklin Feeler was born January 18, 1927 in Boise, Idaho, to Carl and Charlotte Holste Feeler.
John spent his early childhood in Nampa until enlisting in the army on March 22, 1945. Over his 20 years of service he served in World War II, Korean War and Vietnam. After his return from the military, John was a cook at the Idaho State Prison until his retirement.
On September 9, 1975 he married Thelma Mulkey in Reno, Nev. One of their greatest joys was spending time together camping and fishing. Thelma passed away November 28, 2008.
John was preceded in death by his wife Thelma, both parents and sister Leatha Piercy.
He is survived by brother Carl, sister Bonnie Stein, son Douglas (Alice) Mulkey of Grand Junction, Colo., daughter Veronica Danielson of Newcastle, Wyo., grandsons John (Vermae) Danielson of Gillette, Wyo., David Mulkey of Grand Junction, Colo., granddaughter Danielle Mulkey of Grand Junction, Colo., and great grandson Nicholas Danielson of Gastonia, N.C.. As well as numerous nieces and nephews, dear friends, Kent and Sue Bronson and family and Diane and Dion Mannion and Family.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Idaho State Veterans Cemetery. The family has placed their trust in Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel, Nampa for their final arrangements.
