Jeffery Aaron Nicholson Obituary
Jeffrey Aaron Nicholson
April 19,1955 - June 11, 2013
Jeffrey Aaron Nicholson, 58, passed away on June 11, 2013 at his home in Eagle, Idaho after a very long and courageous struggle with cancer followed by myasthenia gravis.
Jeff was born on April 19,1955, in Yuma, Arizona to John Addison Nicholson and Phyllis LeMar Nicholson. He was raised, along with his five siblings, by his father and stepmother, Lucy Nicholson, in Paw Paw, Illinois. Jeff graduated from Paw Paw High School in 1973. He moved to Boise, Idaho in 1981. Jeff's work ethics were evident as he worked for several large excavation contractors in Boise before forming his own business in 1986, J.A. Nicholson Construction, a public works concrete contractor. Most people would consider him one of the hardest working and strongest men they have ever encountered. His small town roots were apparent as Jeff was always helping other people, be it a neighbor, friend, or stranger.
Jeff married Cynthia Sue (Cropp) Nicholson (Eagle, Idaho), in Boise, Idaho. They were married for 14 years. From this union, two amazing sons were born - Jacob Nicholson (21) and Cole Nicholson (16). After their divorce, Jeff met his long time companion, Sue Jones, (Eagle, Idaho) -they remained together until his passing.
Jeff is survived by his father and step mother, John and Lucy Nicholson of Paw Paw, Illinois; his sons, Jacob Thomas Nicholson and Cole Taylor Nicholson of Eagle, Idaho; brothers, John (Sue) Nicholson, Paw Paw, Illinois; Jerry (Dawn) Nicholson, Paw Paw, Illinois; sisters, Lisa Hoebing, Malta, Illinois; Clara (Wallace) Delong, Paw Paw, Illinois; Linda (Charles) Sellers, Paw Paw, Illinois; his nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis LeMar Nicholson; his brother in law, Jeffrey Hoebing; his paternal grandparents, Wesley and Edith Nicholson, and his maternal grandparents, Clyde and Pauline LeMar.
A memorial service will be held on July 6 in Paw Paw, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to help with funeral expenses be sent to www.paypal.com - JeffNicholsonMemorialFund@live.com or to 2612 S. Chipper Way, Eagle, ID 83616.
