Wilbur "Ray" Hampton
1928 ~ 2013
Wilbur "Ray" Hampton born August 21st, 1928 in Mississippi passed on August 31st, 2013 at home with family.
Ray is survived by his loving wife Carmen "Connie" Hampton of 64 years. Brother Marion and his wife Diane Hampton, sister Annie Ruth and her husband Harold Williams, sister in-law whom he loved as a daughter, Brenda and her husband Ron Arndt. Sons Wilbur Ray Hampton Jr., Michael and his wife Anne "Strawberry" Hampton and daughter Debra and her husband Bruce English, eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild.
Ray was a retired Marine, having served in the Korean War, and a postal carrier with a combined 27 years of service. He worked for Bessire and Casenhiser Property Company in California and Idaho for more than 25 years.
There will be no formal services at Ray's request. Friends are asked to his home on Saturday, September 7th to share time with the family from 11 am to 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers we ask that you spend time with your family in his memory.
The family would like to thank: Dr. Rosalia Richardson, TLC, Hospice, neighbors, and family for their help during his final days.
