Rex Clifford Freckleton

Rex Clifford Freckleton , 87, of Boise, passed away October 11, 2013, at his home.
A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2013, at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 253 Valleyview Drive, Pocatello, Idaho, with Pastor Robert Atteberry officiating. A viewing will be held in Boise on Friday, October 18, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Cloverdale Funeral Home, 1200 N. Cloverdale Road, Boise, Idaho. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Pocatello.
Rex was born December 9, 1925, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Samuel Leland and Fern Annette Freckleton. He attended Pocatello High School prior to joining the Army in World War II. He served as Sergeant in the 28th Transportation Corps in India-Burma and was discharged in May 1946.
In 1953 Rex married Delores Mae Daniels in Pocatello. They had two daughters, Sydney Lee Berry and Wendy Ann Freckleton. They resided in Pocatello, American Falls and moved to Boise in March 2009.
During his lifetime, Rex assisted his father and brothers in managing Bannock Lumber in Pocatello and Falls Lumber in American Falls. He also worked briefly for Sierra Life Insurance and retired as credit manager at Idaho Power.
Rex enjoyed spending time with family, the outdoors, watching BYU football and loved animals.
Rex recently became a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Eagle, Idaho.
Rex is survived by his daughters, Sydney L. (Herschel L.) Berry of Santa Rosa, California, Wendy A. Freckleton of Boise; grandchildren, Marcus M. Montgomery of Nampa, Kenya J. Winston of San Francisco, California; eight great grandchildren; one brother, Neal Freckleton of Pocatello, Idaho. He was preceded in death by Delores, his parents, two brothers and a sister.
