Dennis M. McWilliams, 64 of Boise, formerly of Cottonwood, Idaho, died Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at his home after a brief battle with cancer. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at St. Mark's Catholic Community, 7960 Northview St, Boise. Dennis was born May 11, 1949 in Kansas City, Kansas to Dorothy and James McWilliams. He attended elementary and high school in Kansas City. He joined the Air Force and served from 1967 to 1968. He attended Johnson County Community College, and then Boise State University. In 1978, he married Suzanne Frischenmeyer in Kansas City, MO. They resided in Kansas City, Missouri; Kansas City, Kansas; Cottonwood, ID; Helena, MT and Boise, ID. Dennis worked at General Motors in Kansas City, MO and Carroll College in Helena, MT. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, KU Basketball and Oscar, the dog.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Suzanne, his children: Patrick McWilliams (Rita) of Ferdinand, ID, Kevin McWilliams (Angela) of Boise, Michael McWilliams of Helena, MT and Meridith McWilliams of Helena, MT., his grandchildren: Damian, Hunter, Mykaela, Caleb and Sierra McWilliams, all of Ferdinand, ID, and Sammy and Sophie McWilliams of Boise, ID. He is also survived by his sisters: Sheila Bell of Abilene, TX, Sharon McWilliams and Karen McWilliams, both of Boise. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Larry McWilliams.
