Charles "Chuck" Elbert Clink
1959 ~ 2014
Charles "Chuck" Elbert Clink, of Boise, passed away from natural causes on Thursday, May 1, at the age of 55. Chuck was born in Rocklin, California on January 6, 1959 to Billie Gene and Nancy Grace (Alsup) Clink. He attended schools in Rocklin and Roseville, California and graduated from Oakmont High School in 1977. After graduating, he joined the U.S. Army and was a sergeant in the military police. After his honorable discharge from the service, Chuck moved to Idaho to be with his parents and to find work. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad, Nampa School District, and Boise State University. He married the love of his life Penny Lee Scott on September 6, 1985. He is proceeded in death by his mother Nancy and is survived by his sons, Joshua (fiancé' Moriah Belcastro), Brian (Amanda), granddaughter Araya, father Billie, stepmother Joetta, sisters Margaret Back (Kenny), Amye Eladl (Mohamed), cousins, numerous nephews, and nieces. Chuck enjoyed sports and pitched baseball from his youth through his service years. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, shooting archery, and camping. His family and friends remember his long stories, laughter, and how he was a patient teacher, mentor, and friend to others who shared his own passions. His love for the outdoors was only exceeded by his love for his family. A memorial will be held in Chuck's honor at Idaho Archery Company, 5669 N. Glenwood, Boise, on Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 9-10 a.m. He will be missed greatly.
