Cindy and family,
Dennis and I have many fond memories of good times shared with you and Joe on Bear Creek. Whether at your cabin, ours, or on a horseback adventure, the stories and laughter always flowed. We hold those memories close in our hearts. We sold our ranch and moved to Boise and now have a place in McCall which we enjoy. Somehow the mountains are part of us and we miss them if we are gone too long. We know you and Joe understand how Bear Creek can get into your blood. We imagine Joe riding the trails in Bessie Gulch and fondly hope you are getting along in the loving support of your family.

Dear Cindi, Though the time we spent together was short, I have enjoyed the memories of you two. Your kindness and friendship means much to me. May God's hand hold and comfort you and yours, knowing that Joe is resting in a better place. Memories are forever. Twila Hornbeck

Dear Cindy,
Joe was one of the finest persons I've known, a favorite in our West Point company.
It was great seeing you both at the 50th reunion, and I have been honored to have been able to chat with Joe several times since then.
Shirley and I are so very sorry.

Dear Cindy, Carol and families,
I was very saddened to read of Joe's death. I want you to know you are in my thoughts and prayers in a very special way.
We have lost an outstanding, honorable, and accomplished classmate--and, to us, a dear, dear friend of long-standing.
May your faith in Him bring you strength and may His Everlasting Arms enfold you with His love.
My love,
Jane Sell (Mrs. Charles E. Sell)

Cindy, Sue & Glen & family - No words seem to convey the true "greatfulness" in our hearts
for having the privilege of knowing Joe and yourselves. The wisdom, generosity & kindness always extended with a handshake & smile from Joe are priceless memories for us all. God's peace to you all & may Joe enjoy the comfort of His eternal rest.
