Della Pomesky
Lehrer
Age 101, of Minerva, passed away Thursday morning in Minerva Elder Care. Born in Doanville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Stanley and Adelaide Wagner Pomesky, she was a resident of Baltimore, Md., from 1940-1999 when she came home to Ohio to live with her daughter. Della retired in 1987 from Bon Secours Hospital in Baltimore after 30 years service where she worked in housekeeping. She was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva and she loved to play bingo and go bowling.
Preceded in death by her husband, William C. Lehrer in 1994, four sisters, Sister St. Joseph 'Molly', Marie Scheurer, Gertrude Roman, and Elizabeth Bosh, and three brothers, Andy, Oscar and Stanley Pomesky. Survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Betty Ann and Robert Foltz of Paris; one son and daughter-in-law, Will and Barb Lehrer of Havre de Grace, Md.; and five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, Tina Harmon, Gary Foltz and his children, Brendon, Kelsey, and Gary, Jr., Katie Hannen and her daughter, Kylie, Lisa Laubach and her husband, Blair and their children, Jeremy and Carly, and Marcie Bronstein and her husband, Alan Fishman and their son, Noah.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva with Fr. Victor Cinson as Celebrant. Inurnment in Lakeview Memorial Park in Eldersburg, Md. Friends may call Mon. from 6-8 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia and Tues. from 10-11 a.m. in the church. Condolences may be left at
