Felix, Elizabeth M. - Canton  
Elizabeth M. Felix 93, of North Lawrence, passed away quietly Thursday afternoon, Jan. 22, 2015. Born Oct. 10, 1921, in North Lawrence, Ohio, a daughter to the late William D. and Annie M. (Overton) Reid. Elizabeth graduated from the former Canal Fulton High School. A gifted musician, she mastered the violin at an early age and played professionally with the Canton and Dover Symphonies. A life-long devotee of classical music, she also played piano and organ. Elizabeth was a lifetime member of the faith community at Chapel of the Cross United Methodist Church and lent her talents to directing the youth choir as well as playing piano and organ. She also enjoyed singing and had been a member of the former 'Mother Singers' Chorus. A full-time home maker until after her children were grown, she returned to work at the former Massillon City/ Community Hospital, retiring after 25 years of service. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth is preceded in death by her sisters, Alice and Helen Reid, Hilda Reid Vernon; and an infant brother, Alan Reid. She is survived by her children: Dr. Richard R. (Fran Driver) Felix, of St. Ignatius, Mont., Phyllis Felix, of Pataskala, Ohio, and Rosemary (Jobie) Smith, of Copley, Ohio. There are also two dear nieces, Nancy Horst, of Orrville and Shirley Eberly, of North Lawrence. A chapel service will be conducted at Chapel of the Cross UMC at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015. Pastor Bob Mitchell will officiate and private burial will follow in Newman Creek Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The family requests no additional flowers but has suggested memorial contributions in their mother's name be made in care of Chapel of the Cross United Methodist Church. Fischer, Robert J. - Canton  
Robert J. Fischer Age 74, of Dellroy, passed away Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, in Carroll Health Care Center. He was born in Paris, Ohio, a son of the late Ben and Miriam (Geiger) Fischer, and had been a Dellroy resident most of his life. Bob was a 1958 graduate of Carrollton High School, and retired in 1992 from The Timken Co., after 35 years service as a grinder at the Bearing Plant. He also was preceded in death by two infant brothers, John and Charles Fischer. He is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Fischer, with whom he celebrated their 53rd Wedding Anniversary on Nov. 25, 2014; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Connie and Calvin Mangun, of Carrollton, Lisa Owen, of Mineral City, and Tammy and Dustin Naylor, of Dellroy; one son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Tanya Fischer, of Dellroy; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Alma and David Thomas, of Marquette, Mich., and Mary and David Hanni, of Canton; one brother, Arthur Fischer, of Dellroy; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor John Carpenter officiating. Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery in Sandyville. Fano, Mary Suzanne - Canton  
Mary Suzanne Fano age 81, of North Canton passed away Wednesday in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. A life resident of the Canton/North Canton area she was the daughter of the late Benedict and Mildred (Paquelet) Heggy, a 1951 graduate of Central Catholic High School and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, North Canton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Fano who died 2007, and her son Steven Fano who died 2010. She is survived by her sons: Michael (Christine) Fano of Canton, Joseph (Julianna) Fano of Uniontown; daughter: Laura Ann Monastra of North Canton; sisters, Beverly (James) Cerreta of Glendale, Ariz., Lucinda 'Cindy' Wollenberg of Canton, Nancy Heggy of North Canton; grandchildren: Jason, Chad, Justin, Shane, Kristina, Taylor, Emily, Shane (Amy), Karlie, Casey; great-grandchildren: Ben, Olivia, Lorissa and Hawk. Mass of Christian burial will be Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Paul Catholic Church with Msgr. James A. Clarke as celebrant. Entombment will be in North Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call Sunday afternoon from 2 to 5 pm in the Wackerly Funeral Home.
