June (Warren) Markling 1925-2015 was born on Dec. 2, 1925, in Canton, Ohio, to George and Jessie Hoehn. After a long and productive life, June passed away on July 29, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her first husband, Herbert Warren. She is survived by her husband, James Markling; her children: Mark (Karen) Warren, Wendy (Robert) Joliet; stepdaughter, Jan (Sue Ramsey) Markling; step-sons: Thomas (Karen) Markling, David (Sandy Beros) Markling; grandchildren: Christopher Warren, Carolyn and Stephanie Markling, and Zack Franks. June attended Timken High School, and worked at Stern and Mann's while in school. June was a devoted wife and mother, and enjoyed providing a home where family and friends could be together. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and family vacations to Canada and the beach. After raising her family and the passing of her first husband Herbert, June enjoyed spending time with Wendy and Bob while working at Studio Arts and Glass, and with James at Mohican Hills Golf Course. Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 9-10:15 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Beach Creek Botanical Gardens, Alliance, Ohio. Menicos, Leona Ann "Lee" - Canton  
Leona Ann “Lee” Menicos: Mother, Grandmother and Sister age 82, of Canton, passed away Wednesday morning. Born in Waynesburg to the late Jack and Mary (Vinci) Cozzoli. During the mid fifties Lee studied music and sang opera in New York City and also competed in the Miss USA pageant in Dennison, Ohio. She was an Avon Representative for 44 years and life member of Little Flower Catholic Parish. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Menicos and a son, Christopher. Lee is survived by her loving daughter, Lisa Pileggi; and five loving grandchildren, Vincent Jr., Anthony, Michael, Mia and Nicholas. Brother, Albert Cozzoli and her Yorkie dog, Macy, which she dearly loved also survive. A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Monday in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. NW with Rev. Dennis Woodruff officiating. Friends may call on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. A private interment will be held for the family in North Lawn Cemetery. Mowery, Gerald Dwight - Massillon  
Gerald Dwight Mowery 86 of Jackson Twp., passed away Monday, July 27, 2015. He was born Dec. 30, 1928 in Hartford City, Ind. the son of the late Wilfred and Valeda (Philebaum) Mowery. In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by a younger brother, Don. His survivors include, Janet (Johnson), his wife of over 62 years and daughters, Pam Mowery, Renee' Fye (Tom); son, Stan Mowery (Tina); six grandchildren, Bambi Kress (Adam), Alisa Dauer (Brandon), Ashley Ritter (Nate), Jessica Harper (Jamie), Joshua Fye (Cassey), Jordyn Fye; and seven great-grandchildren. Gerald retired from B. F. Goodrich, and in addition he held various positions before and after Goodrich, the last being that of a United Methodist Local Pastor. Gerald served in the National Guard for over 20 years. For over 45 years, he was an active member of Church of the Lakes. Visitation is to be at Church of the Lakes on Friday July 31st at 11 a.m. with the funeral service following at Noon. Pastor Leslie Peine will be officiating. Burial is to be at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Massillon. The family has a great appreciation for Chapel Hill and all those who assisted him and his loved ones in any way. The prayer support of loved ones, church family and individuals will always be remembered. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to Church of the Lakes, the church of your choice, or The Chapel at Chapel Hill Community. MacLean, Robert Edgar "Bob"  
Robert 'Bob' Edgar MacLean Age 99, of Alliance, passed away at 11:28 a.m., Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Aultman Hospital. He was born Aug. 4, 1915, in Topeka, Kan., to William P. and Beatrice (Chesney) MacLean. A 1934 graduate of J. Sterling High School, Bob retired as Production Manager for Transue & Williams Stamping Department after 37 years of service. He was a member of First Christian Church and a life member of Elks Lodge #467, Saxon Lodge and the Alliance Senior Center. Survivors include his daughters, Patricia Nutial and Bonnie (Milton) Klausner; grandchildren: Sue (Scott) Neil, Scott (Cheryl) Robertson, Lori (Steve) Keller and Linda (Doug) Wonner; great-grandchildren: Amanda, Krystal, Kara, Kurt, Kacy, Nicole, Kristen, Kyle, Ryan, Devin and Jack; sister, Kimball 'Kim' MacLean; half-sister, Sally (Ralph) Griffin; several nieces and nephews, and special nephew, Kurt (Jeannette) Wegelins. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 63 years, Eva Lucille (Richards), whom he married March 23, 1940 and who passed away Sept. 9, 2003; sisters, Jean McKinley and Beatrice Trautt; brother, William MacLean II; great-great-grandson, Vincent Warner; and son-in-law, Charles Nutial. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at Walton Schrader Funeral Home, with Pastor Aaron Phillips officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
