Patterson, Joan M. - Wadsworth  
'Then and Now' Joan M. Patterson 89, formerly of Canton, more recently of Wadsworth, passed away Monday April 20, 2015. She was born Feb. 28, 1926 in Uhrichsville, Ohio to the late Harley and Blanche Garner. Mrs. Patterson was a graduate of Uhrichsville High School class of 1944 and then proceeded to Beauty College. She was retired from Canton Christian Home after many years as a beautician. She was a life member of VFW Auxiliary # 3747 in Canton and a member of the Canton Elks. Joan enjoyed many nights out dancing and many hours of quilting. She was preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jeff Evans; grandson, Matt Evans; and brother Robert "Bob" Garner. Joan is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Judy Patterson of Wadsworth; grandchildren, Tom (Denise) Evans of Orlando, Fla., Courtney Patterson of Canton; her great- grandchildren, Meredith and Alex Evans, Alexis and Dominique Patterson; great-great- grandchildren, Meleah and Camdyn Patterson; one brother, Don "Whitey" Garner of New Philadelphia, Ohio; and her special friend, Bill Anderson of Canton, Ohio. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2015, at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth with Rev. James L. Singleton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services from 10-11 a.m. Hilliard-Rospert (330-334-1501)

Popa, Rachael Zedaker - Canton  
Rachael 'Zedaker' Popa age 52 of East Sparta was called to be with the Lord on April 30. She was born Jan. 3, 1963 in Massillon to Elonza & Elma (Elliott) Zedaker. Rachael was a stay at home Mom who took great pride in raising her children. Family, friends, and helping others were the most important things in life to her. She loved her family, friends, cooking, couponing and crocheting and her dog Petey. Her family will remember her loving, caring and giving heart, and the unconditional love and support that she extended to each and every person that crossed her path. Her father Elonza Zedaker and two brothers Michael & Lenny Zedaker preceded her in death. Rachael is survived by her husband, George Popa. There are four children: Rachelle (Perry) Wiegreff, George Popa, Samuel Popa and Neely Medlock. She leaves her mother and step-father Elma & Eugene Jenkins, brother Jeff (Belinda) Zedaker and her beloved nine grandchildren. A Memorial Service for Rachael will be 7 p.m. Wednesday May 6 at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon, Rev. Terry Livengood will officiate. Pyle IV, Pershing Earl - Canton  
Pershing Earl Pyle IV our beautiful baby boy joined the angels on May 1, 2015. He will never be forgotten and always hold a place in all of our hearts, mother, Lauren B. Humphreys; father, Pershing Earl Pyle III; paternal grandparents, Pershing Earl & Mary Pyle; maternal grandparents, Stanton & Debra Kirk; siblings MacKenzie, Olivia, Audrey, Kylie and Trenton; and many loving family. Rudy J. Pezel 77, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015. He was born in Wilmont, on Sept. 27, 1937 to the late Frank and Wilma (Potocsnak) Pezel. Rudy retired from Ansell Perry and was a member of the AMVETS. He is survived by his children, Edward B. Pezel, Alaska, Julie Ann (William) Chapman and Amy Lynn (Donel) Hilliard both of Reynoldsburg; four grandchildren; a brother, Richard (Patricia) Karlalcis; and a sister, Violet (Richard) Wallace. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Lori Ann Pezel; sisters, Delores Hoover and Kathryn McDugall; and a brother, Nicklas Pezel. Friends and family may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Sunday, May 3, 2015 from 2p.m. – 5p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, May 4, 2015 at 10:30a.m., entombment will be in the Mausoleum at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
