Carol (Smith) Holl A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home, with Rev. Raymond Stanley officiating. Friends may call from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home to help defray the service cost.

Holl, Carol (Smith) - North Canton  
Carol (Smith) Holl 1947-2016 age 69, of Jackson Township, passed away Friday, May 20, 2016, following an extended illness. She was born January 1, 1947 in Connellsville, PA to the late James R. and Ida (Mates) Smith, Sr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Jim Roudebush, Sr. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, David Holl; daughter, Dana Nichols; sons, Daniel (Shelley) Mossor, and Dr. Douglas (Sally) Holl, of Rialto, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy Roudebush; and brother, James R. (Karin) Smith, Jr. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home, with Rev. Raymond Stanley officiating. Friends may call from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home to help defray the service cost.

Howard, Robert - Canton  
Robert V. "Hoppy" Howard 1949-2016 of Tarpon Springs, Fla., formerly of Canton, passed away after an ongoing struggle with his health on Saturday, May 21. Hoppy was born in Canton, Ohio in 1949 to the late Frank Howard, Jr. and Mary Lou Howard. He grew up at Congress Lake Country Club in Hartville, graduated from Glenwood High School and served in the Army. He worked at Canton Welder's Supply and Specialty Hose in North Canton, Ohio. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Frank (Chip) Howard III. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Cathi; children, Chrisi (Bob) Sfero, Betsey (Matt) Lukens and Annie Howard; brother, Thomas (Lisa) Howard. He was passionate about his grandchildren who loved him dearly, Dominic, Carter, Jake and Sofia. Hoppy's sense of humor and love for extended family and friends was electrifying. He was also an avid Ohio State Buckeye's fan. Hoppy will be laid to rest in Florida, but a celebration of his life will be held on June 4, 12-4 p.m. in the Gathering Room of Christ the Servant Catholic Parish, 833 39th Street NW, Canton, Ohio 44709.

Hudson, Sara - North Canton  
Sara Hudson 1926-2016 89, passed away on May 20, 2016. She was born August 18, 1926 in Ellwood City, Pa. to the late James and Atta Shallenberger. Sara was previously active with the North Canton Elks and was a member of First Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved caring for her family and her home. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H.; son, Robert B.; granddaughter, Hayley Marie Geib; and brothers, James Jr and John Shallenberger. Sara is survived by her three children, Randall (Christine) Hudson, Richard (Patti) Hudson, and Barbara (Jeffrey) Geib; seven grandchildren, Susan, Steven, Evan, Andy, Jennifer, Grant, and Emily; eight great-grandchildren; and many friends that will miss her dearly.
