Reed, Miriam Rita - Canton  
'Together Again' Miriam Rita (Gilbert) Reed Age 94, died Saturday after a brief illness. Born in Louisville she had lived in Canton most her life. Miriam was a 1938 graduate of Louisville High School and had worked for Embro Manufacturing. She was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church and the Auxiliaries of the Canton Elks and North Canton Eagles. She was preceded in death by her husband, John 'Jack' Reed; parents, William and Edith Gilbert; five sisters: Pauline Newberry, Jeanette Johnson, Josephine Lippert, Dolores Lemley and Mary Helen Hiple; and five brothers: Millard, Roy, Mahlon, Urban and Robert Gilbert. Survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Rosemary and Dale Kibler of Wilmington, N.C., JoAnn and Scott Kuntz of North Canton and Marlene and Gregory Bray of Canton; two sons and a daughter-in- law, John and Mary Kay Reed of Dover, and Bill Reed (Terrie Ross) of Canton; six grandchildren: Amy Doty, Kevin Reed, Lauren Peebles (Ben), Katie Kuntz, Adam Bray and Drew Kibler; four great-grandchildren: Rachel Doty, Harvey Redenback and Max and Molly Peebles; and a sister, Jean Dwyer of Louisville. Family and friends will meet on Friday at 10 a.m. at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with Fr. Donald King as celebrant. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Rogich, Helen Baba - Canton  
Helen 'Baba' Rogich 93 of Massillon, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015 at the Cleveland Clinic. She was born on Jan. 30, 1921 in Duquesne, Pa. and was the daughter of the late Martha Komazec. She lived most of her life in Yugoslavia, before moving to Massillon in 1949. Along with her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Rogich, one brother and two sisters. Helen and Joe owned and operated the Wonder Bar in Massillon for many years. She was a member of St. George Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church. She is survived by her daughters, JoAnn (Jack) Meanor and Margaret 'Budgie' Strabley, her grandchildren, Nessa, Tasha, Joe and Michael and her great grandchildren, Riley, Drew and Jared. The family will receive friends on Sunday at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home from 6-9 p.m. with a Pomen service at 7 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Monday at 10 a.m.. at St. George Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church with Rev. Romig Sr., James (Jim) - Canton  
James (Jim) William Romig Sr. 63, of Navarre, Ohio passed away Jan. 28, 2015 at Aultman Hospital from a long battle with cancer. He was born Dec. 19, 1951 in Dennison, Ohio to Robert L. Romig Sr. and to the late Helen Eileen Orr Romig Uhose. Jim attended Perry Local School and retired from The Timken Company after almost 40 years of service. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and grandchildren. He loved to hunt and fish with close friend Danny Masalko, sons Jason and James, son- in-law Jimmy, and grandson Austin. He enjoyed spending time with good friends Joe, Mervin, and Glen Ward and Greg Vorsahk. Jim spent most of his time outdoors where he liked to garden and feed the birds and squirrels. Jim married Charlotte Huggins on Feb. 17, 1979. He is survived by children: Vickie Lynn Dalton, James (Carla) Romig, Christine (fiancé Mike Starn), Jennifer (Josh) Black, Jason, Michelle (Jimmy) Dowling, Cynthia (fiancé Matt Channell), and Kimberly of the Canton area; and grandchildren: Tyler, Gabriel, Austin, Jocelynn, Ryleigh, Leonardo, and Sophia. Three sisters Elizabeth (Rocky) Civiello of Uhrichsville, Juanita (Bill) Westlake and Freida Romig of Canton, and Sister-in-law Sandra Romig of Bowerston, brothers-in-law Danny, David, Dennis, Darrell Huggins, 2 step-sisters Jo Ann (John) Smith of Tennessee and Carolyn (Steve) Hughes of New Philadelphia, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his mother, step-father Steve Uhose, and brother Robert L. Romig, Jr. Grandparents George Ancil and Leafy Orr and Ray (Frieda) Romig and in-laws Jack (Shirley) Huggins and brother-in-law Dale Huggins. Funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 11a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel with Pastor Craig Ott officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
