Adams, David L. - Canton  
David L. Adams age 80, of North Canton, died Thursday, May 21, 2015. He was born May 11, 1935 to his parents, the late, Douglas D. and Catherine P. (Pratt) Adams. He was a graduate of Lehman High School and Kent State University. During his career, David held management positions at manufacturing companies such as Corning Glass, Foseco, Ohio Brass, Plymouth Locomotive and Sharon Companies. He was a former Trustee and Board Chairman of Hospice of Medina County. David served in the US Naval Reserve and was a lifelong boater who loved cruising the Great Lakes. He held memberships in the Great Lakes Cruising Club, Sandusky Yacht Club and the U.S. Power Squadron. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jane; sister, Betty (Tom) Grady and brother, Steve (Connie) Adams. David is survived by his wife, Joan; son, Scott and daughter, Elizabeth as well as step-children, Jeff (Becky) Mulcahey, David (Sherry) Mulcahey and Jeannie (Chuck) Jacobs and step-grandchildren, Erin and Andy Mulcahey, Brendon and Nathan Mulcahey and Abbey and Alison Jacobs. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church (241 Main Street, North Canton) with Rev. Fr. Jeffrey Stealey celebrant. Prior to the mass, calling hours will be Friday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Reed Funeral Home NORTH CANTON Chapel (801 Pittsburg Ave. NW). In lieu of flowers donations may be made in David's name to Hospice of Medina County (5075 Windfall Rd, Medina, OH, 44256) or to The Duvall Home (PO Box 220036, Glenwood FL, 32722). Allen, Betty - Canton  
Betty Allen age 94, of Canton passed away Monday, May 4, 2015. Born August 11, 1920 in Canton to the late Lawrence and Mae Smith, she was a 1938 graduate of McKinley High School. Betty married the late George Allen on August 24, 1944. Her passions in life were God, her family, gardening, flower arranging, sewing, and reading. She was a member of Meadow Glen Garden Club, Canton Garden Center, and the Canton chapter of Ikabana. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Epstein; son, Steven Allen; brother, Roy Smith; and sister, Barbara (Smith) Mihelick. She is survived by her children, David Allen, John (Elaine) Allen, and Barbara Frank; grandchildren, Jason (Nikki) Allen, Justin (Stephanie) Allen, Judd (Shannon) Allen, Jenna (Andrew) Pratt, Amanda (Ryan) Dietrich, and Sean Frank; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Caroline, Maxwell, Hank, Belle, Mae, and Rosalynn; and her adopted daughters, Ann Herron, Cita Brannon, and Ginny Strohl. A memorial service celebrating Betty's life will be held this Friday, May 29, 10 a.m. at the Chapel at Canton Christian Home. Calling hours will be an hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Canton Christian Homes benevolent fund, or to Grace United Methodist Church, 1720 Schneider St. NW, North Canton, Ohio 44720. Aralica, Dragica - Canton  
Dragica Aralica age 89, of Massillon, passed away Wednesday morning, May 27, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center. She was born Feb. 24, 1926 in Croatia, and came to the United States in 1968 with her husband, Dragan to start a new life. Together they created the family she now leaves behind; her son and daughter-in-law, Milan and Draga Aralica; daughter and son-in-law, Mara and Dusan Coric; her grandchildren, Evica (Sasa) Brusin, Svetlana (Tysun) McCully, Marina (David) Quinn, Snezana Jurisic, and Nedeljko Coric; great grandchildren, Nicholas and Michael Brusin, Tavin and Sage McCully, Angelina, Colin, Destinee, and Brennan Quinn; her brother and sister, Milan and Dusanka; and nieces and nephews in the Old Country; her nephew and nieces in the States, Pero Zivkovic family, Mara Lemojic family. She left Kumovi, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dragan Aralica; daughter, Donna Jurisic; and brother and sister-in-law, Ljuban and Mica Zivkovic. Visiting hours will be at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home, 5000 Everhard Rd. Canton on Sunday, May 31, between 6:00 and 7:30 p.m. Pomen at 7:30 p.m.. Visiting hours will also be on Monday, June 1, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
