Barnett, Edith M. - North Canton  
Edith M. Barnett 1931-2016 84 of Canton, passed away on May 21, 2016. She was born June 27, 1931 to the late John M. and Grace L. Queen. Edith enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an amazing caregiver who baby-sat numerous children and made home cooked meals for residents in retirement homes. Edith never knew a stranger and touched the hearts and lives of everyone she met. She will be deeply missed by all. Besides her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Barnett; brothers, John Jr. and James; sister, Shirley; and beloved pets, Lassie, Ringo, Sammy, Fluffy, and Tigger. She is survived by her five children, Robert R. (Faith H.) Barnett, Cynthia J. (Christopher J.) Maurer, Beverly J. (Barry A.) Ring, John Edward Barnett, Barbara J. Barnett; grandchildren, Jennifer (Jason), Lisa (Seth), Bradley (Jennifer), Eric (Sara), Crystal (Tim), Kevin, John, Robert (Kelly), and Renae (Bryan); great-grandchildren, Jacksen, Joseph, Christian, Tyler, Kaden, Austin, Andrew, Aaron, Braxton, Alexis, and Alivia; sister-in-law, Shirley Queen; cats, Callie and Tinkerbell; and many nieces and nephews. Beadling, Bruce William - North Canton  
Bruce William Beadling age 62, of Jackson Township, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family after a brave and courageous fight with cancer. Bruce was a graduate of Jackson High School. He is preceded in death by parents, Rita and William Beadling, sister, Suzanne M. Self (Beadling), and brother in-law, Dr. Harry Bjornstad. Bruce is survived by his three sons, Ty Beadling of Jackson Township, Lance Beadling and fiancee, Lindsay Daly of Hilton Head, S.C., and Grant Beadling and daughter-in-law, Megan Beadling of Jackson Township; sisters and brother-in-laws, Shirley and Jim Turns and Barbara Bjornstad and Chuck Bell; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Lori Beadling. Bruce was a special uncle and held a close bond with all his nieces and nephews. Bruce was thankful for the love and support given to him by his best friend and girlfriend, Karen Lamb. Bruce was very fortunate to have special friendships that have lasted decades and he will be greatly missed by all. Bruce had a lifetime connection to Jackson Schools as an active athlete himself and then as a coach for youth football and baseball. He was a proud employee of FedEx for 15 years. Bruce's two favorite pastimes were vacationing with his family in Hilton Head, S.C. and cheering on the University of Michigan Wolverines. As a season ticket holder, Bruce spent many fall weekends traveling to Michigan with his sons, brother and daughter–in-law to cheer on their favorite football team. Michigan football created a deep bond with Bruce and his father as well as the rest of his family. Bruce was a true and loyal fan and was always seen wearing his maize and blue. Bruce was grateful for his family and friends who gave him support and strength during this difficult time. He was thankful to the staff at Aultman Hospital and Aultman Hospice Program who gave him courage and support. "Goodbyes are not forever, are not the end; it simply means I'll miss you until we meet again." GO BLUE! Family and friends may visit from 5:30-9 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2016 at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home, 5000 Everhard Road NW, Canton. Becknell, Carolyn A. - Minerva  
Carolyn A. Becknell Age 81, of Minerva, entered heaven on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 to be united with her savior and reunited with the love of her life Harold "Hal" Becknell. She was born in New Philadelphia and was a loving and wonderful daughter to Clarence and Ruth Edna (Putt) Renner. She retired from Stark County Children Services and was a long time member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Homeworth. She is a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in New Franklin where she was a past youth choir director and member of various church groups. She is preceded in death by her husband Harold “Hal” Becknell who died in 2001; sisters, Luella Renner, Edith Devore, Eunice Blake; brother, Dean Renner; and son-in-law, Wilbert Brown. She raised her children in a home filled with love, laughter and music. She leaves her four daughters to mourn and "sing on”, Shari (David) Dreher of North Canton, Christine Becknell-Brown of Louisville, Saundra (Curtis Cesarin) Kolar of Marshallville, Heather (Ryan) Doane of Paris; 11 grandchildren, Nikole Campbell, Kathryn and Courtnee Drehrer, Anna and Adam Brown, Caleb and Keifer Kolar, Chistopher, Jacob, Rylie, and Daniel Doane, and five great-grandchildren, Haylie, Kylie, Chloe, Zoey, Steven. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. John's Lutheran Church in New Franklin with Pastor Joseph Ertl officiating. Burial will be in Paris Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday 6-8 p.m. at the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva and one hour prior to the services at the church. Freda Blake 1923-2016 age 92, of Louisville, Ohio, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2016. She was born Sept. 3, 1923 in Cambridge, Ohio to the late Edward and Eleanor Moose. Freda retired from Molly Stark Hospital in 1980 and she was a member of the Fairhope United Methodist Church. She is survived by her son, Richard (Chris) Moore; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Freda was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl Moore, her 2nd husband, Raymond Blake, a son, Carl Moore, a sister, Mona Gates and a brother, Arthur Moose. Bolgrin, Gale C. - Canton  
Gale C. Bolgrin 1920-2016 age 95, of Canton, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2016, at the Laurels of Massillon. Gale was born on Dec. 29, 1920 in Akron, Ohio, the son of William C. and Clara B. (Wallace) Bolgrin and was a 1938 graduate of Coventry High School in Akron. Gale was a member of the Local #219 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union since 1948 and retired from Honeywell with 31 years of service. Gale was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and a member of the Central Congregation on Dueber Avenue in Canton. Gale loved fishing, spending time with his family and friends and studying the Bible. Gale was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Alice R. Bolgrin (2005), his son, David G. (Sandra) Bolgrin (2015) and daughter, Kalynn (David) Unger (2005). He is survived by his daughter, Laurel (David) Hayes; his loving and loyal sister, Norma (Michael) Petros; his grandchildren, Marybeth (Scott) Wintrow, Emily (Jason) Provchy, Todd (Mindy) Bolgrin, Heidi (Rex) Anthony, Holly Unger (Craig Miller), Katie (Tom) Shimek and Wyatt Hayes; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Brandon and Jacob Wintrow, Easton Bolgrin and Hunter Shimek and nieces, Susan Saltalamacchia and Carol (David) Campigotto. Bowman, James W. - Massillon  
James W. Bowman 1935-2016 age 81, of Massillon, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016. He was born Feb. 22, 1935, son of the late Arden and Lillian (Light) Bowman. James was a lineman and technician for Ohio Bell where he worked for 35 years. He was a member of the Massillon Moose, Sons of Herman and a lifetime member of North Lawrence Fish and Game Club. He enjoyed camping at Dogwood Acres, fishing and hunting. James is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara (Kraft) Bowman; son, Richard Bowman and his partner, Bob Eldridge of Akron; daughters, Jolene Bischoff of Akron and Lori Dearth of Massillon; granddaughters, Kristen (Dustin) Hendricks and Amanda (Michael) Miller; great-grandchildren, Mason and Carter Hendricks and Michael Miller Jr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sarah (Sally) Bowman. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Heitger Funeral Home, 639 First St. N.E., Massillon.
