Radtka, Herman L. - Canton  
Herman L. Radtka 64, of Massillon, surrounded by his loving daughters, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, April 19, 2015, following a brief illness. Born in Massillon Sept. 30, 1950, to Herman and Shirley Radtka, he graduated from Massillon Washington High School with the Class of 1968. Before his retirement Herman worked as a heavy equipment operator with Operating Engineers Union Local 18. Also a proud member of the NRA, he was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved the outdoors. Herman was preceded in death by his father, Herman C. Radtka. He is survived by his daughters, Kris Rohr (and fiancé Elmon Davis), Kim (Mickey) Rink and Ashley Radtka (and fiance Hamid Naader); grandchildren, Lauren and Spencer Rohr and Mikenzie and Bradyn Rink; his mother, Mrs. Shirley F. Radtka and brother, Gary L. Radtka. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday evening, April 23, 2015, at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon where the family will receive guests from 5-7 p.m. A special 'thank you' to the caregivers of Crossroads Hospice for their dedication in caring for Herman during his illness. Reed, James Edward - North Canton  
James Edward Reed age 87, born March 17, 1928 in Muncie, Indiana, the only child of Harold and Lois (Thompson) Reed. Graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1946, and Ball State Teachers College in 1951. James began working for Indiana & Michigan Electric company as an accountant trainee in 1951 in South Bend, Indiana. He served two years in the Army from 1952 to 1954, primarily at Fort Benjamin Harrison in the Army Finance School. During this time, he was a member of the 5th Army Softball Championship team. In 1954, he returned to Indiana & Michigan Electric Co. at Fort Wayne, Indiana. From 1959 to 1961 he was employed as a staff accountant for the Michigan Public Service Commission in Lansing, returning to Fort Wayne in 1961 in the accounting department. In 1970 he was transferred to the American Electric Power Company in New York for four years and then in 1974 moved to Ohio Power's General Office in Canton, Ohio. He retired in 1993 as assistant to the Accounting Manager. He was a member of the Retired Executive and Professional Men's Club, and an active member of Faith United Methodist Church, North Canton, where he sang in the choir for more than 30 years. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jacqueline (Harrell) Reed; daughter, Paula (Gregory) Hoover of Franklin, Tenn.; son, Stuart (Rosemarie) Reed of Canton, Ohio; and two granddaughters, Amy and Sarah Hoover. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Faith United Methodist Church, North Canton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith United Methodist Church, 300 9th Street NW, North Canton, Ohio 44720. Arrangements under the direction of Karlo-Libby Funeral Home.

Reikowsky, Fred R. - Canton  
Fred R. Reikowsky age 89, of North Canton, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015 in Mercy Medical Center, following a prolonged illness. He was born and raised in North Canton, Ohio where he was a respected home builder in the area for 45 years. Fred was a Navy veteran of WWII who served in the Pacific Theater, and was present in Tokyo Bay during the signing of the peace treaty with Japan. He received several medals for his service including the Victory Medal, American Area Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Area Campaign Medal (4 stars), and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon (1 star). He is registered in the U.S. Naval Museum in Washington, D.C. Fred was a 1943 graduate of North Canton High School (No-Ca-Hi), and attended Fenn College following his military service. He was a life-long member of St. Paul Catholic Church, North Canton; and held membership in the Stark County Homebuilders' Association, the North Canton Knights of Columbus #3777, the North Canton Elks Lodge #2029, the Hall of Fame Luncheon Club and faithful volunteer for Meals on Wheels. He was a two-term past president of the North Canton Heritage Society, and was a bowler for many years in the North Canton Merchants League. He loved family, boating, skiing, card games, and friends. He enjoyed summer weekends at Lake Erie in Marblehead, Ohio. He is survived by his wife, Joanne C. (Dent) Reikowsky; son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Barb Reikowsky of Bolivar; five grandchildren, Amy, Jason, Hallie, Shannon, and Laura; six great-grandchildren; sister, Bertha; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his beloved sons, Randy (1971), and Craig (1996); parents, Fred W. and Bertha M. Reikowsky; sisters, Mary and Helen; and brother, Louis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Monday, April 20, 2015, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 241 South Main Street, North Canton, with Rev. Msgr., James A. Clarke officiating. Burial in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before services (10-11am), Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paul Catholic School Tuition Fund, 241 South Main Street, North Canton, OH 44720, or to the donor's charity of choice. Arrangements under the direction of Karlo-Libby Funeral Home.

Rinehart, Linn - Canton  
Linn Rinehart age 80, of Louisville passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015. He was born on May 12, 1934 in Canton, Ohio to the late Paul E. and Doris I. Rinehart. Linn attended grade school at West North in Canton and Pleasant View in Plain Township. He graduated from Middlebranch High School in 1953. He completed an electrical apprenticeship in 1955 and continued to work for the Hoover Company until 1958 when he became an agent for the Prudential Insurance Company until 1991 when he took early retirement. For several years after he assisted in insurance and financial services for Louis Lo and Assoc. in Canton. He truly enjoyed his after prudential years. He traveled, attended some Indy Car Races, Nascar Races and spent time in Florida with his son Clark. Linn was a true sports fan of the Indians and Ohio State. Over the years he attended church at Foursquare Gospel Church in Canto and Martindale Christian Fellowship in Plain Twp. He was a member of the McKinley F.O.E. # 2370 in Canton since 1991, the I.U.L.I.A. at Prudential and the US Navy Reserve 1952-1958. He was preceded in death by the world's greatest mother-in- law, Dorotha Donaldson. Linn is survived by a daughter, Stacey Bugh, two sons, Alan (Shelly) Rinehart, Clark (Yvonne) Rinehart, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and his lifelong childhood friend, Kay Moore. Funeral services will be 12 Noon Thursday at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville. Calling hours will be 10 a.m.-12 Noon Thursday morning at the funeral home.
