Fultz, John D. - Canton  
John D. Fultz Age 38, of North Canton, passed away Monday, May 25, 2015, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born Feb. 7, 1977 in Canton, the son of Kenneth Fultz and Susan (Tsilidas) Kim Slawson, both of North Canton, and was a life resident of this area. John was a 1995 graduate of Hoover High School, and a 1999 graduate of Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, and a Masters Degree in Education from Walsh University in 2008. He was an employee of Canton City Schools, having taught American History four years at Timken High School and then taught American History five years at Timken Early College. John also was a boys/girls tennis coach for six years at Timken High School. He originated the Film Club and participated in the Interact Club and the Social Club. John also had taught College Prep four years at Walsh University and also taught auto body at Hoover High School. Surviving besides his parents, is a sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and Brian Chetnik and their sons, Joe, Matt and Brett, of Valley City, OH; a brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Pamela Fultz and their daughters, Megan and Emily, of Newton Falls, Ohio; a cousin/brother, Eacho Stepanovich, of North Canton; and his beloved cat, Woody. Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with his fellow history teacher, Bryan Shephard speaking. Interment in East Liberty Cemetery. Grindel, James Michael "Mike" - Canton  
James Michael "Mike" Grindel passed peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday May 24, 2015 after a lengthy illness. Mike was a lifelong resident of Canton and Canton South graduating class of 1966. Mike loved the out of doors especially hunting and fishing with special friend Craig Deetz and enjoyed fixing equipment with his late friend, James Hopple. Mike is survived by his wife of 45 years, Judith Kay (Cooper); daughter, Tracey Grindel; son and daughter-in-law, John and Stephanie (Walton) Grindel; granddaughters, Morgan Johnson, Jasmyne Grindel and Skyla Grindel; brother, John "Jack" Willis (Carolyn) Grindel and sisters, Janice Sue Grindel, Kathy Jane (Sergis) Meneses and Joyce Marie (Mike) Billman. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Joesph and Mildred "Minnie" Grindel; infant sister, Joan; and infant grandson, Shaemus Angel Grindel Johnson. The family would like to thank special friend of the family, Michael Hendrix for his help the past few weeks and Home Care Aides, Linda, Nancy and Judy for the special care they showed Mike over the last two years. We are grateful to Aultman Hospice/Compassionate Care for their support the last few months. Family and friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 12 to 1 p.m. at the Reed Funeral Home (Canton Chapel) where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday with Pastor Gary Smith officiating. Harmon, Arlene - Canton  
Arlene Harmon 98, of Navarre died Monday May 25, 2015 following a period of declining health. She was born in Massillon on July 9, 1916 to the late Bert and Keturah (Nichols) Adams and was a life resident of the area. Arlene is survived by her daughter, Kitty Null and son, David (Connie) Kerby, both of Navarre; step-son, Robert; five grandchildren; thirteen great- grandchildren; and two great- great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Kerby; husbands, Orvel Kerby, Orie Hodgson, and William Harmon; two sisters, and four brothers. Graveside services will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Union Lawn Cemetery in Navarre with Rev. Jeremy McGraw officiating. There will be no calling hours. Horton, Jayne - Canton  
Jayne Horton age 92, of Canton passed away Saturday, May 23, 2015 following a brief illness. She was born October 30, 1922 in Canton to her parents, the late, Arthur and Vera (Woolston) Schafer. She retired after 21 years of service with Canton City Schools where most of those years were spent as secretary at Clarendon School. She was a lifetime member of Christ Presbyterian Church and Order of Eastern Star Delta Chapter 539. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Hollback, Jr. in 1958 and by her second husband, Forrest Peter Horton in 1993. Survivors include her sister, Arlene Koch of Canton; children, Janine (Thomas) O'Wesney of Jackson Township and Robert Hollback; grandchildren, Denise O'Wesney of North Canton, Zachary Hollback of Georgia and Tyler Hollback of Indiana; two great-grandchildren; stepchildren, David Horton, Carol Ibarra both of California and Patricia Horton of Nevada; step grandchildren, Daniel Eudy and Robin Crowell both of California and three step great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Reed Funeral Home NORTH CANTON Chapel (801 Pittsburg Ave NW). Calling hours will be Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and an hour prior to services on Friday from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Killian, Robert R. - Canton  
Robert R. Killian died on May 25, 2015. He was the son of Paul B. and Helen (Goshorn) Killian and was born on October 5, 1925 in Canton, Ohio. After Robert graduated from McKinley High School in 1943, he enlisted in the United States Coast Guard and served in World War II. He was at Normandy on D-Day, June 6, 1944. He retired from Westfield Insurance Company and was a retired member of the Stark County Bar Association. Bob was a lifelong member of Christ Presbyterian Church. His son, Jeffery Killian precedes him in death. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; three sons, John (Marcia), James (Nancy), and Michael (Lisa); eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A private family burial will take place in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Lee, Clara E. - Canton  
Clara E. Lee 97 of Louisville went home to be with the Lord on May 25, 2015. Clara was born in Walker, West Virginia on March 5, 1918 the oldest of 12 children to the late Walter and Ida Lee. She was a foster parent from 1963-1972, having 30 foster children during that time. Clara was a member of the Louisville Baptist Temple, having worked in the nursery for over 30 years. She enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, canning her own vegetables, making pies, was an avid Indians fan and loved to watch them on the television. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Boyd. She is survived by her children, John (Barbara) Horner of Haleyville, Alabama, Chuck (Glenda) Horner of Pearl, Mississippi and Diane (Jim) Miller of North Little Rock, Arkansas; 12 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday May 28, 2015 at the Reed Funeral Home NORTH CANTON CHAPEL with Pastor Mike Harmon officiating. Family and friends may visit from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday May 27, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
