Lyons, William C. - North Canton  
'Together Forever' William C. Lyons Age 90, of Canton, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014. He was born in Canton, Ohio, on Aug. 15, 1924, to the late Clarence and Alice (Schneider) Lyons. William was a 1943 graduate of Lincoln High School and was a veteran of the US Army while serving in WWII. He was retired from the Diebold Co. following thirty years of employment. William was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing cards and bowling in several leagues. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of fifty years, Olive M. (Miller) Lyons; brothers, Paul, Robert, twin brother, Donald, and infant brother, Richard Lyons; sisters, Dorothy Feller, Betty Draiss, Marion Garcia, and Alice Marie Voyk. William is survived by his children, Homer C. Hoffman of Louisville and Ellen (John) Bertsch of Hartville; grandchildren, David Hoffman, Douglas Hoffman, Diane Page, and Kelly Cathey; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Lucille Beswick, Mrs. Janis Laign both of Canton, Mrs. Pauline Huckels of Hartville, and Mrs. Stanley (Mildred) Ebin of Independence, brother-in-law, Kenneth Draiss of Canton; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their special heartfelt thanks to Bill's niece, Linda Huckels and nephew, Scott Laign. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014, at 10 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church (726 Cleveland Ave. NW, Canton, Ohio 44702) with Rev. Fr. Edward Beneleit, as Celebrant. Family and friends may call from 9-9:45 a.m., at the church. Burial with military honors will take place in St. Peter Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mark R. Vrabel Funeral Home, North Canton, Ohio (330-452-4041).

Richardson, Michael - Massillon  
Michael Richardson age 58, of Canton passed away. He was born in Massillon on Aug. 15, 1956 to Walter and Virginia (Murphy) Richardson. Mike was a 1975 graduate of Washington High School. He had been employed at Sugardale Meats. Michael is survived by his parents Walter and Virginia (Pat) Richardson; two children, Nathan Richardson and Marqus Wright. He has three sisters and a brother, Toni (Ray) Johnson, Joy Richardson, Troy Richardson and Jackie (Edward) Dudley. A Memorial Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Apostolic Faith Assembly (1823 7nd St. NE, Canton, OH). Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until the service at the church. Urban, Theda J. - Massillon  
Theda J. Urban age 75, of Beach City, Ohio, passed away on Monday, Nov. 24, 2014 at the Laurels of Canton. She was born in Harrisville, W.Va., on Jan. 6, 1939 and was the daughter of the late James E. and Edith Virginia Parker. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Urban, Jr; her daughter, Cary Parker; her brother, James Parker and her sister, Dorothy Bartko. She is survived by her son, Paul Urban III and Sam (Rebecca) Urban; her daughters, Mary (Carmel) Heath and Bobbie Holderbaum; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will take place on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Massillon Cemetery. Betz, I. Ray - Minerva  
I. Ray Betz Age 84, of Minerva, died Mon., Nov. 24, 2014 in Mercy Medical Center. He was born March 21, 1930 to Mervin and Anna (Fogle) Betz. He is retired from B&R Auto Wrecking where he had been the owner for many years. He is a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in New Franklin, a US Air Force Veteran and member of the Carrollton VFW Post #2291 and the Minerva Eagles Aerie #2199. He is preceded in death by his wife, Clorene (Whitlow) Betz who died in 1992; and two brothers, Bernard and Donald Betz. He is survived by a daughter, Julie (Charles) Anderson of Alliance; three sons, David (Lura) Betz of Minerva, Robert (Tina) Betz of Minerva and Ernest Weston of Minerva; sister, Ila June Ramser of Minerva; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Joe Ertl officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park.
