Rodgers, John A. - Canton  
John A. Rodgers Age 85, of Canton passed away Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, in his residence. John was born March 16, 1929, in Canton, the son of the late John N. and Mary (Lee) Rodgers. He was a former Stark County Deputy Sheriff, and retired from Aultman Hospital. John was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church, the Masonic Lodge and served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, John N. Rodgers; and four sisters. John is survived by daughters: Cyndy Isom, Melanie Ramirez; sister, Sally Lehnis all of Canton; brother, Jim (Stacy) Rodgers of Massillon; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the Williams Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Friday 5-7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. John's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Aultman Hospice, especially Nicole and Heather as well as to the VA for their assistance. Suttle, Susan - Canton  
Susan Kathryn Suttle passed away on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014 at her home with her family by her side. She was one of eight children born to the late Norman William and Mary Jane (Witmer) Suttle. Susan was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and Canton Business College. She worked at the local office of the Social Security Administration for 25 years. After retiring from Social Security, she pursued a career in local real estate in the Stark County area. She is survived by seven siblings, Mary Ann (Don) Gieffers, Bill (Linda) Suttle, Helen Suttle, Kurtz (Annette) Suttle, Joan Suttle, Mike (Tina) Suttle, and Patricia (Dr. James) Brenneman, and a very close friend of the family, Karen Coughlin. Also surviving are ten loving nieces and nephews; and five great-nieces and great-nephews. Susan was a 25 year survivor of breast cancer and had many ups and downs with more good days than bad days. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining and playing cards. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Dec. 29, 2014 at 1 p.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with Fr. David Weikart and Fr. Robert Kaylor concelebrating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home, 1100 Wales Road N.E., Massillon, OH on Sunday from 2–5 p.m. and on Monday from 11:30-12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Taylor, Harriet A. - Canton  
Harriet Arline Taylor Age 86, of East Sparta, passed away Dec. 10, 2014. She was an active lifetime member of Peace Lutheran Church and past member of the Altar Guild and Women's Missionary Group. Arline was a 1946 graduate of Canton Township High School. She was employed by Aultman Hospital, Deluxe Motor Freight, Arrowhead Country Club, and retired after 35 years of service from the Stark County Attention Center in 2001. Arline was a 50 year member of Eastern Star, Legacy Chapter No. 596. She served as a volunteer at Timken Mercy Hospital and the Total Living Center for many years. She enjoyed visiting her son and grandsons in California, the many family trips with her siblings, quilting, flower gardening, and collecting fine china. Preceded in death by her husband, Howard in 1981; her granddaughter, Jennifer in 1985; her parents, Lewis and Florence Cairns, and brothers, Robert (Dolly) and Gary (Mary) Cairns. Survived by her son, Dennis Greg Taylor; grandsons, John Howard and Trevor Nicholas Taylor, of California; brother, Wayne (Ruby) Cairns of Canton, and sisters, Janice (Wilbur) Lingenhoel of Louisville, Carol (Jerry) Haney of North Canton, Mary Ellen Gustafson of London, Ontario, and Sandra (Patrick) Peterman of Carrollton. A celebration of life service for Arline will be held Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014, at 11 a.m., at Peace Lutheran Church (3828 Cleveland Ave. South, Canton, OH 44707) with Pastor Scott Bacon officiating. Friends may call at the church one half hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made in Arline's memory to Peace Lutheran Church. Bendetta, Mabel Mae - Canton  
Mabel Mae Bendetta 94, of Magnolia, passed away at Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014, at Hennis Care in Bolivar. Mabel was born in Salineville, Ohio, on Dec. 30, 1919; a daughter of the late William and Ola (Maple) House. She served as the Postmaster in Malvern for 20 years; and was the owner of Bendetta Food Market for 20 years. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, the National League of Postmasters, and the Home Extension. Mabel is survived by a daughter, Kaaren (John Sr.) Grodhaus, of Magnolia, OH; a son, Donald (Virginia) Bendetta, of Naples, Fla.; grandchildren: Christine Grimes of North Canton, Jeffrey Bendetta of Naples, Fla., Donald P. (Carmella) Bendetta of North Canton, Steven Bendetta of Sandusky, Theresa McCaulley of Dellroy, John Grodhaus, Jr., of Dellroy; nine great-grandchildren; and eight great-great- grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bendetta; sisters, Meryle McCully, Louise Messenger; and brothers, Fred and Earl House. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Malvern, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014, with Celebrant Fr. Victor Cinson.
