David C. Menendez
57, of Seneca, S.C., passed away Saturday morning after a short illness. David was born in Canton, Ohio to Angel (Chala) and Patty Cook Menendez. David grew up in Louisville and attended Louisville High School. David and his wife are the owners of P & D Small Engine Repair and he also did construction work.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patty and a sister, Sharon. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Worley Menendez of Seneca, S.C.; his father, Chala of Louisville; his son, Justin (Johna) Menendez of Carolina Beach, N.C.; stepdaughter, Jill Leann Worley of Seneca, S.C.; sisters, Carol VanMeter of Malvern and Karen Sylvester of Louisville; a half-sister, Rose (Kelly) Nees of Everett, Wash.; three grandchildren, Justin David II (Deuce), Darian Owens and Serenity Murphree; nieces, Kaitlin VanMeter and Olivia Sylvester; and many dear friends.
A memorial service will be in Walhalla, S.C. on April 12.
