Henrietta 'Pat' Katz
age 92 of North Canton, passed away Thursday evening at the Aultman Compassionate Care Center. She was born March 16, 1920 in Almonesson, N.J. to Louis and Anna (Kushner) Zimmerman and has been a Canton resident since 1954. She was a member of Temple Israel, Hadassah, Temple Sisterhood, volunteered at Aultman Hospital, was an avid reader, loved music and wrote poetry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel in 2009 and a brother, Edward Zimmerman.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly (Steven) Greene of Riverwoods, Ill., Marcia (Harvey) Nixon of Cincinnati, Ohio; sister, Lillian Blitstien of Philadelphia, Pa.; sisters-in-law, Harriet Zimmerman of Philadelphia, Pa., Dorothy Woldar of Vineland, N.J.; grandchildren, Seth (Stacey) Greene, Erica Greene, Andrew (Jen) Nixon, Brad and Ivan Nixon; four beautiful nieces and her second cherished family of caregivers at Windsor Medical Center. Pat is also survived by her close friends, Rosalie, Edie, Elizabeth, Maddie, Gloria and the caring staff at Jewish Family Services.
Private graveside services will be held at North Lawn Cemetery with Rabbi Jon Adland officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Jewish Family Services or Temple Israel. Condolences may be left online at
