James E. Hawk
79, of Canton passed away after a brave and courageous battle with cancer on Nov. 25, 2013. James was born in Massillon, Ohio on July 3, 1934 to the late DeWitt and Agatha Hawk. He served in the US Navy, retired in 1996 after 35 years of service with Coca Cola Bottling, worked for 13 years at Redmonds Auto Parts and was an avid Canton McKinley football fan. Preceded in death by his son Kurt Hawk, grandson Shaun Widder, brother Richard Hawk and sister Leah Mills.
James is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Sandra; children, Tim (Belinda) Hawk, Kim Hawk, Christine (Robert) Burkey and Julie (Todd) Gaylor; sisters, Agatha (Ronald) Albright and Becky (Carl) Trautman; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Shruti Trehan and her staff for their love and wonderful care.
Memorial service will be at 7 p.m. on Sunday Dec. 1, 2013 at the Massillon Church of the Nazarene at 1321 Lincoln Way W Massillon, Ohio 44647 with Pastor John Stallings officiating.
