John E. Mossor, Jr.
66, of Dover and formerly of Canton, died Friday, Nov. 29, 2013 at 2 a.m. in Hennis Care Centre at Dover. Born Sept. 9, 1947 in Canton he was a son of the late John and Helen (Humbert) Mossor, Sr. John was a 1965 graduate of the former Glennwood High School at Canton, was employed as a Massillon City Firefighter and owned and operate Security Systems (a burglar and fire alarm company) in Canton for 10 years. He was a member of Church of the Savior United Methodist Church at Canton. John was an avid Cleveland Indians fan and a Veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his two sons, Michael J. (Kelli) Mossor of Dover and Matthew L. (Melissa) Mossor of North Lawrence; four grandchildren, Kolby and Kenley Mossor and Emily and Andrew Mossor; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Jim Mossor, Jeff Mossor and Dale Weaver.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Lebold-Smith Funeral Home at 248 Park Ave., Bolivar, Ohio. Pastor Bob Kuntz will officiate and burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery at Canton. Friends may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
