Joseph A. Hooper
age 76 of Akron passed away Feb. 24, 2014. He was born June 21, 1937 in Louisville, Ohio, the son of the late Joseph and Edith (Kuhn) Hooper. He was a resident of Akron for most of his life. He loved riding his motorcycle and going fishing. Joe was our Ironman and we thought nothing could harm him, he will be dearly missed.
In addition to his parents, Joe is preceded in death by a brother and sister. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Debra; children, Richard (Laurie), Constance (Jay), Denise (Michael), Tracy Jo (Jerry) and Joseph Jr. (Tracy); 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and many relatives and friends.
A service celebrating his life will be held Friday, Feb. 28, 2014 from 1-3 p.m. at the Kenmore Community Church of the Nazarene, 2025 12th Street in Akron. Condolences and special memories may be shared online at
