age 76, of Canton, passed away Nov. 7 after years of declining health. He was one of eight sons born to the late Ernest Sr., and Laree G. Turner. In his youth, he was very active in Little League Baseball. He worked at Brookside Country Club in earlier years. He retired from the Timken Co. after 35 years. He served in the Army Reserves, was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, a season ticket holder for the McK. Bulldogs, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. His bucket list was one day to see and visit Alaska. His best friend was his brother, Roland Turner, Sr. He had many guy friends, one was Percy Garner, Sr.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Ernest Jr., Herman, Roland Sr., Clarence and sister, Grace Turner. He is survived by daughter, Marsha Turner; son, Joe, Jr; step daughter; a grandson; granddaughter; a great-granddaughter and the mother of his children. Also surviving are brothers, Herbert of New Haven, Conn., Richard of Canton, William of Bartlett, Ohio and sisters, Miriam Rahman of Chattanooga, Tenn., Laree (Delaurel) Staples of Dover, Ohio, Norma and Ruth Turner of Canton; many nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, friends and other relatives.
