Dr. Judson G. Sprandel (SR) D. C.
retired chiropractic physician, aged 80, passed away Feb. 12, 2013 at Ridgewood Hospice Center, Akron, due to cancer and the complications thereof. Raised in Louisville, Ohio, he served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict, he was an alumni of Great Lakes College of Mechanotherapy, and Lincoln (National) Chiropractic College, Indiana. Sprandel Chiropractic Clinic has been in Canton since 1957, now operated by son, Dr. Judson G. Sprandel II, D.C.
Survivors include wife of 60 years, Joan; son, Dr. Judson Sprandel II, D.C. and wife, Kimberly; daughter, Dr. Sally Sprandel Powell, D.C. and husband, Dr. Randal Powell, D.C.; daughter, Susan Sprandel Mullen; five grandchildren, Judson Sprandel III, Jennifer Sprandel, Carly and Abby Powell, and Olivia Mae Mullen; and sister, Drenna Stefanchik of Kent, Ohio.
A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at Turkeyfoot Sportsman's Club (4551 Dusty's Road, Akron). Friends, patients, and colleagues welcome 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
