Julia A. Churpek,
of Canton, passed away Tuesday evening in her home on her 95th birthday following a brief illness. Born in Canton, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Katherine (Buganski) Hentsch. She was a member of the Basilica of St. John the Baptist, Canton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Churpek who died in 2005 and son, Michael Churpek who died in 2012. She is survived by her daughter, Kristine Owens of Canton; daughter-in-law, Ann Churpek of Navarre; sister, Mildred Motta of Louisville; grandchildren, Matthew (Jane) Churpek, Mark (Amy) Churpek, Joseph (Chelsea) Churpek; great-grandchildren, Jack and Jacquelyn Churpek.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10 a.m. in the Basilica of St. John the Baptist with The Very Reverend Ronald M. Klingler as celebrant. Burial will be in Warstler Cemetery.
