Age 84, of Magnolia, passed away Tuesday morning in his home. He was born in Mineral City, a son of the late William and Chloe (Fox) Barkheimer, and was a life resident of the Mineral City/Magnolia area. Kenny retired in 1993 as a Supervisor from Sparta Ceramic, after over 45 years service. He attended East Sparta United Methodist Church and was a member of Dover Moose Lodge over 50 years.
Preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond, Bill, Jim, and Howard, and his mother-in-law, Lucy Naus, who was very special to him. Survived by his wife, Martha L. Barkheimer, with whom he celebrated their 66th Wedding Anniversary on Feb. 1, 2013; his daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Gary Yoho, and his son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth G. and Jane Barkheimer, all of Magnolia; three grandchildren, Leisa (Donald) Dunham, Tracey (Mike) Reichard, and Troy (Euna) Yoho; six great-grandchildren, Emilee (Andrew) Humphrey, Jared and Natalie Reichard, Carri and Eric Yoho, and Leah Dunham; two great-great-granddaughters, Hannah and Haylee Humphrey; a sister-in-law, Ruth Anna Titus, of Kenton, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews; his beloved cat, Mickey; and special friends, John and Kaaren Grodhaus.
Services will be held Sat. at 1 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Peggy Garner and Pastor Steven M. Smith officiating. Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery in Sandyville. Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kenny's memory may be made to the Troy Yoho Benefit Fund.
