Leo L. Becherucci
age 91 of Canton, passed away Wednesday evening, Feb. 27. Born in Falling Waters, W.Va. to the late Frank and Ida (Lesani) Becherucci he was preceded in death by his wife Ann (Orzeck), infant son Terry Lee, sisters Norma Dreussi, Annie Graffi and brother Albert Becherucci. Leo was in the first graduating class at Timken Vocational High School, Class of 1941. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Navy. He was a member of St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish. Retiring from the Timken Company in 1972 after 30 years of service, he was a founding owner of B & G Ornamental Iron, working there until 1985. He then worked for the Valentine Construction Company.
Leo is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Ida and Bill Baughman, son and daughter- in-law Douglas and Vicki Becherucci all of Massillon, four grandchildren; Lindsay (Ben) Moretta, Meghan Becherucci and fiancee' Scott Perry, Gregory Baughman (Tracee), Matthew Baughman (Candy), four great-grandchildren; Brianna Baughman, Mackenzie, Ryan and Blayze Moretta, brother Louis Becherucci of Bakersfield, Calif.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Rossi Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 3 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish with Rev. Fr. Tom Bishop, celebrant. Internment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Leo's name may be made to St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish. The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to Barbara Flynn and the assisted-living staff of the Canton Regency for their loving care of Leo.
