Loretta (Torcia) Galica
age 79, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the Inn at University Village. A resident of Perry Township, she was born in West Brownsville, Penn., and graduated from Brownsville High School in 1952. Loretta was retired from Stark County Library – Perry Branch. She was married to Walter Galica for 58 years. They had five children - three sons, Daniel (Teri), David (Lynnette), and Scott; and two daughters, Kathy (Mike) Ragon, and Lori (Martz) Trumpis. She had eight grandchildren - her pride and joy, Ryan (Brigitte) and Katelyn Galica, Luke Ragon, Jacob and Hanna Trumpis, David, Daniel and Steven Galica.
There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Canton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Loretta's name may be made to the Stark County District Library for the purchase of books for children. The family thanks the aides, nurses, and staff of Crossroads Hospice and of The Inn at University Village for their loving care of Loretta.
