Wayne E. Kiser
Age 86, of North Canton, passed away Friday afternoon in Aultman Hospital. He was born in New Philadelphia, Ohio, a son of the late Edward and Emma (Miller) Kiser, and had been a North Canton resident six years, previously residing in the Dover area most of his life. Wayne was a 1945 graduate of New Philadelphia High School. He retired in 1987 from General Electric as an electrician. He also operated two roller skating rinks, Tuscora Roller Rink at Tuscora Park in New Philadelphia, and the Rollercade Skating Rink at the Memorial Hall in Dover. Wayne served in the U. S. Army at the end of World War II in the Aleutian Islands in Alaska.
He also was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters, Russell and Olin Kiser, Hazel Pfouts and Gladys Kiser. Survived by his wife, Frances L. Kiser, with whom he celebrated their 61st Wedding Anniversary on Nov. 23rd; one daughter, Brenda Kiser, with whom he and his wife resided; one son and daughter-in-law., Daryl and Stacy Kiser, of New Philadelphia; one brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Doris Kiser, of New Philadelphia; and his beloved pets, Archie, Mitzie, and Nala.
Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Dean Teal officiating. Interment in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens. Friends may call one hour before the service on Tuesday from 1-2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Wayne's memory may be made to Aultman Hospice, 2821 Woodlawn Ave. NW, Canton, OH 44708.
