'Reunited'Arlene R. Feketik
age 75, of Canton, passed away Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014 in Elyria Memorial Hospital. She was born in Hibbing, Minn. Jan. 6, 1939 and was employed as a beautician with Regis for 12 years, retiring in 1999. Arlene was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and the Springwood Lake Camp Club, where she worked security for seven years. She was an avid animal lover and rescued many cats over the years. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, George Feketik, who passed away on Sept. 30, 2008; her parents, Lawrence and Ingrid Tawyea and her brother, Lawrence Tawyea. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Kathy Feketik; daughter and son-in-law, Shelley and James Grant; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Feb. 7, 2014 at 10 a.m. in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, with the Rev. Fr. G. David Weikart as Celebrant. Burial will follow in The Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5-8 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Stump Hill Farm, 6633 Klick Rd. Massillon, OH 44646.
