David Michael "Mikey" Heck
age 54, a life resident of Massillon passed away on Monday, Dec. 2, 2013. He was a retired construction worker with Laborers Union Local #1015 and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Mikey enjoyed fishing, camping and boating. He was a member of VFW 3124, Eagles 190, Moose 481 and Sons and Daughter of Herman.
He is survived by his parents, William G. and Lu (Zwick) Heck; brother, Jerry Heck; sister, Linda Scharver, all of Massillon; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lauri Marshall who died Oct. 25, 2012 and brother-in-law, Gary Scharver who died Feb. 3, 1996.
Visitation will be held TONIGHT, Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Heitger Funeral Home-Massillon Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Edward Gretchko celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Massillon, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's St. Vincent DePaul Society. Please leave condolences at
