Frank L. Clapper
90, passed away Aug. 28, 2014. He was the son of Llewellyn and Clara Clapper and was born on July 6, 1924 in Zanesville, Ohio. Frank proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from the City of Canton Water Department. Frank worked for Canton Motor Speedway he loved cars and his "baby" was a 1933 Ford - 3 window coupe. Frank also was an avid golfer. His greatest love was for his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara J. Clapper; and sister, Frances Grubb. Frank is survived by his loving family, daughters Cynthia Martin and Debra (Steve) Atkinson; grandchildren, Chandra Albright and Eric Atkinson; and brother, Carl "Dutch" Clapper.
Family and friends may call Saturday from 10 to 12 p.m. at the Reed Funeral Home (Canton Chapel) where services will be held at 12 p.m. with Pastor Gary Smith officiating. Interment will take place at Northlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warriors (Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758517 Topeka KS 66675) and/or to St. Jude's.
