Helen M. Corder
age 87, of Richville, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 in Aultman Compassionate Care Center. She was born in Schweinfurt, Germany on July 19, 1925 and had been a resident of the Canton area since 1952. She was a former employee of Cha Razzo's Restaurant, the Max Restaurant, Kurt's Inn and Abigail's Tea Room in Navarre. She was a member of AARP and will be deeply missed.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie L. Corder, who passed away on Dec. 25, 1974; her parents, Erich and Marie Dicker; and her grandson, Tommy Corder. Survivors include her five daughters, Ruth Thomas of Brewster, Patty Fyke of Tampa, Fla., Linda (Les) Fitzgerald of Tampa, Fla., Carol (Ray) Bland of Dennison, Ohio and Peggy (Robert) Miller of Navarre; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday in the funeral home.
