James W. Trusick
age 79 of Louisville passed away Tuesday April 8, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born July 13, 1934 in Detroit, the son of the late Walter and Mary (Novak) Trusick. He was raised in the Detroit area and graduated from Fitzgerald High School where he excelled at basketball, holding several school records. He enjoyed playing baseball and was an avid bowler. He retired after 34 years with Jones and Lockland Steel. Jim spent winters in Cocoa, Florida where he enjoyed fishing, playing golf and spending time with family and friends.
Jim is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Doris (Cody); brother, Richard Trusick of Warren, MI; his children, Barbara (David) Linder, Richard Trusick and Susan (Bill) Dietrick; grandchildren, Denyelle, Michelle, Brooke, Jimmy and Billy and eight great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by a grandson, Nicholas.
Funeral services for Jim will be conducted Saturday at 12:00 p.m. in the Paquelet- Falk Funeral Home of Louisville with Rev Fr. Larry Frient officiating. Interment will follow in Beech Mennonite Cemetery. Jim's family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
