Jeanine (LaMarche) Helmkamp
Age 49, of Canton, passed away in her residence on Tuesday, Oct. 08, 2013, after a very long and courageous battle with kidney cancer. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on Oct. 19, 1963 to Ruthann (Gall) and the late Edward P. LaMarche. Jeanie was a 1982 graduate of Jackson High School and was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. She worked for Plain Local Schools as a proud lunch lady who quickly became quite popular with all the children as 'The Harley-riding Lunch Lady!' Jeanie had two green thumbs and outstanding flower and vegetable gardens to show for it. The other thing she loved to do was ride her Harley with her husband and friends.
Survived by her loving husband and best friend of twenty-six years, John B. Helmkamp; sons, Travis James and Brian Edward; sisters, Patrice (Michael) Sklodowski of Cleveland, Net, Monique (Chase and Makenna) of Canton; brother, Edward (Kristen and Heather) of Texas, and caring in-laws, Donna and Bob Briedling of Canton.
Jeanie was loved tremendously and will be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving mother, a great daughter, and an awesome sister and friend.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Mark's Episcopal Church (515 48th St. NW, Canton 44709) with Rev. Dustin Berg officiating. THERE WILL BE NO CALLING HOURS.
