Michael Gogle Obituary

Michael S. Gogle Sr.
Michael S. Gogle Sr., age 85, of Perry Township, passed away Wednesday evening following a brief illness. He was born April 24, 1922 in Canton, son to the late Frank and Clara Gogle. He retired from the Timken Company following over 40 years of service and proudly served our country in the United States Army. He was a member of Canton Baptist Temple for over 50 years where he was active in many activities. Michael enjoyed fishing and hunting at an earlier age and enjoyed woodworking after his retirement. He also had been active with the Mayfield Senior Center. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Gogle. He is survived by his son, Mick Gogle of the home; two grandsons whom he raised, Mark Bailey of Akron, Steve (Sonya) Bailey of Canton; three sisters; nephew, Jerry (Alice) Frederick and niece Sharon (Harry) Paul. There are numerous other nieces and nephews also surviving. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1:00p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel with Rev. Delaney Young officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Sunday afternoon from 2-4p.m. in the funeral home.

We will miss Brother Mike at Canton Baptist Temple. He was such a faithful Christian gentleman and a great example for us all.

We are very sad to hear of Mike's passing. He is in Heaven now with Dr. Henniger. He will be greatly missed in the CBT and Ambassador's class. His family has our deepest sympathy.

Mike, you are in Glory now and those here will really miss you. We had many good times and trips with you as a bus driver for CBT Ambassador Class. We will see each other soon and will have lots to talk over besides being with our Lord Jesus Christ.
