William Rice Obituary

William E. Rice
age 65 of Massillon passed away Tuesday Nov. 8, 2011. Bill was born Aug. 23, 1945 in Martins Ferry, Ohio and lived in Massillon since 1983. He served in the United States Marines and then work for the Dept of the Army in Ft. Huachuca, Ariz. Bill served as past president and secretary of FOE #190 and was active in the Bowling League. In addition he was a member of the American Legion Post #221, VFW and DAV's. Bill will be remembered for the volunteer work for the DAV and gave of himself to help others. He will be remembered as a LOVING Daddy, Grandpap and a friend to all.
Daddy will be dearly missed by his two daughters, Melissa Rice and Maureen Kelly (Jason) Sepulveda both of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; and a step son Steven Barrett of Tombstone, Ariz. There are three grandchildren, Randall Rice, Shelby Beuning and Jacob Stewart Rice.
Services and interment will be in Sierra Vista, Ariz. The family would like to give heartfelt recognition to Crossroads Hospice and the staff at Rose Lane Care Center. Special special recognition is given to DeeAnna Steed for the wonderful care giving and support for the last seven years during his illness. Melissa and Kelly, my heart goes out to you and your families at this time of lost. I too have lost a great friend in your father. We all have very few friends who are extraordinary. I count Bill as one, one who is irreplaceable.
