Mary Belle Jane (Renner) Halter
born Aug. 1, 1927 past away Sept. 25, 2011 surrounded by family. Belle was a retired bus driver, lunch monitor, and ticket taker for Jackson Local Schools, remembered by everyone by her kind spirit and smile. Previous employers include STARK County Board of Developmental Disabilities and Heggy's Restaurant. Belle graduated from Jackson High School in 1945. In her youth, she was very active in sports, showing horses, and barrel racing. Later she enjoyed working, volunteering, traveling and being with family and spoiling her only grandson, Tyler.
Mary Belle was preceded in death by her mother and father, Emma Jane (DeHoff) Renner and Harry Amos Renner; one sister, Betty Lou, and three brothers, Edward, Dale, and Harry Renner. Survived by son, Rocky James Halter and wife, Cheryl (Lipster); grandson, Tyler James Halter; two sisters, Joann Jane Julian (Chuck) and Nancy Lee Sue Gardner; two sisters-in-law, Gloria Lee Perrin and Marilyn (Vonwyl) Renner; twelve nieces and nephews and many great/great-great nieces and nephews. Belle was a woman of great integrity with an overflowing generous heart. Her crystal blue eyes and infectious smile will never be forgotten.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel (801 Pittsburg Ave. NW). Burial will follow in the West Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011 in the Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel from 5 - 8 p.m. and for one hour prior to services on Wednesday from 10 - 11 a.m. Those wishing to share a fond memory or their condolences may sign the Reed on-line guestbook at our website
