'Bushel and a Peck'
Rita A. Suter
age 87, of Canton, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011, in Mercy Medical Center. She was born in Canton, the daughter of the late Glenford and Lewy Ferrel. Rita was a 1942 graduate of St. Johns High School. She worked in the office at the Timken Company and also for Sears Service. She was a devoted member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Canton. She was an avid card player and enjoyed working in her garden. Most of all, Rita loved to be with her family and friends, cooking for them, caring for them, and enjoying life with them.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Ralph R. Suter; daughter, Mary Ann Suter-Tetzlaff; grandchildren, Glenn Tetzlaff and Cindy Suter; sisters, Mary (Ora) Roush, Irene (Roy) Davis, Alice (Don) Thomas and Martha (Nick) Davala; brother-in-law, James DeLillo. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Caroline Suter- Connor and Steve Connor; son and daughter-in-law, Larry G. Suter and Marlyce R. Suter; son-in-law, John (Sue) Tetzlaff; step son Ralph (Jan) Suter; grandchildren, Maggie (Tim) Spitale, Patrick Connor and Michael Connor, Ryan and Hannah Suter, John, James, Christopher (Dawn), Roger (Natalie), and Laura (Steve) Tetzlaff, Emily (John) Hanlon, Jeff Suter and Nicole (John); 10 great-grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Rita was blessed with very dear neighbors including her best friends for over 50 years, Miriam Reed and Dorothy Kiehl.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Michael's Catholic Church with Fr. Brian Cline as Celebrant. Private burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
