Allen Ray Manley, 63, of 115 C Street, died Friday, August 16, 2013.
Born in Greenville, SC, he was a son of the late Roy Edward and Vivian Elizabeth Dockins Manley. Allen served his country proudly as a United States Air Force
Lieutenant for four years. He was a Vietnam War
Veteran. After his honorable discharge, he lived in North Dakota until he moved back to South Carolina in 1992. He worked for Anderson School District One and had an indescribable passion for fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his son, Shawn Allen Manley and his partner, Scott Olson, of Minneapolis, MN; brothers, Jack Manley and his wife, Sallie, of Belton, David Manley, of Greenville; sisters, Judy Moody and her husband, Robert, of Travelers Rest, Linda Medlin and her husband, Johnny, of Greenville; girlfriend, Becky Gee, of the home; half-brothers, Eddie and Samuel Manley, both of Greenville; and half-sister, Angie Hughes and her husband, Chris, of Greenville.
Visitation will be held 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at the M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
