Nellie James Aiken, 79, of 210 Pebble Brook Lane, widow of Wade T. Aiken, died Friday, April 4, 2014, at her residence.
Born December 1, 1934 in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Rufus and Myrtie Herring James. She was retired from retail and textiles and was a member of Second Baptist Church, Belton.
Survivors include a daughter, Melissa Partain and husband, Charles of Belton; son, Joseph W. Aiken and fiancee', Patrice Bowles of Keller, Texas; grandsons, Joseph Ryan Aiken of Oklahoma and Connor Aiken of Texas; and four brothers, Jack James of Anderson, Joe James and wife, Earlene of Honea Path, Jim James and wife, Haddie of Williamston, and Bill James and wife, Diane of Supply, NC.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Hayes and Shirley James and a brother, Bobby James.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Second Baptist Church, Belton, conducted by Dr. Mitch Brooks and her nephew, Rev. Bobby James. Burial will follow in Williamston City Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family is at the residence.
