Herrod Abernathy ROCKWELL Herrod Heber Abernathy, 88, died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012. The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, at the funeral home. The family will be at the home of his son, Joe Abernathy, the remainder of the time.
