Walter Wagner SALISBURY Mr. Walter "Walt" Harding Wagner, 92, went to be with his Lord Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today (Friday, Nov. 23), at Bright Light Baptist Church in Concord. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at Bright Light Baptist Church, with Dr. Ronnie Simpson officiating. He will "be planted" at West Concord Cemetery following the service. Mr. Wagner was born Oct. 16, 1920, in Rowan County, son of the late David H. and Belle Bostian Wagner. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Olene Wyatt Wagner; second wife, Joyce Lee Wagner; and six siblings. Survivors include his daughters, Darlene Johnson and husband, Robert, of Rockwell and Brenda Hege and husband, Van, of Lexington; sons, Rickey Wagner and wife, Teressa, of Salisbury, Randy Wagner and wife, Melissa, of Rockwell, Donald Wagner, of Fletcher, and Robert "Robbie" Wagner and wife, Terri, of Salisbury; 13 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Macedonia Baptist College, 9690 Highway 601, Midland, NC, 28107-7731. Condolences may be left at wilkinsonfuneral home.com.
