Dobrosielski, Rose Marie - Newberry  
Miss Rose Marie Dobrosielski, 77, of Newbury, N.H., and formerly of Meshoppen and New Milford, passed away on Saturday morning, March 14, 2015 at the Summercrest Assisted Living Center, in Newport, N.H. Born in Phillipsburg, N.J., on December 9, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Thaddeus "Teddy" Dobrosielski, who passed away on March 2, 2000, and Alice Jean Kafchinski Dobrosielski, who passed away on September 25, 2010. Growing up in Auburn, just outside of Meshoppen, she graduated from the Auburn Center, and Meshoppen High Schools, with the class of 1955. She would then graduate from the Mansfield State Teachers College, in Mansfield, and later graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with her Master's Degree. For 35 years, Miss Dobrosielski was employed at the Blue Ridge School District, in New Milford. While at Blue Ridge, she was an Elementary School Teacher, a Reading Specialist, and also served as the school's Elementary Supervisor. Her teaching affiliations included memberships in the National Education Association; Pennsylvania State Education Association; Blue Ridge Eventing Association, serving as its President and Secretary; Susquehanna County Principal's Association; Local Right to Read Director; Internal Reading Association; Parent Teacher Association, serving as the Teacher Representative; and the Delta Kappa Gamma Society serving as its Secretary. She was a member of the St. Bonaventure's / St. Joachim's Roman Catholic Churches of Auburn and Meshoppen, serving as its' organist, a Lay Minister, and its' Liturgist for the St. Bonaventure's Church. Rose Marie was a Lay Minister at the St. Lawrence Church in Great Bend, and most recently attended the Our Lady of Fatima Church in New London, N.H. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews, reading; keeping a journal; playing the piano; Arthur Murray's Ballroom Dancing; acting with the Laurel Street Theater Acting Group; scrap booking; collecting; bowling; golfing; gardening and traveling. Her extensive traveling took her throughout the United States, including trips to Hawaii; Ireland; Great Britain; Italy and Israel. Surviving is her brother and his wife, David and Vivian Dobrosielski, of Hudson, N.Y.; and her sisters and their husbands, Ann Marie and Gerald Lashley of Centreville, Va., and Joan and Gordon Dickey of Newbury, N.H.; two nieces, Abigail Dickey and Rebecca Dickey; four nephews, Damian Dobrosielski; Devon Dobrosielski; Jerome Lashley and Brendan Dickey; and many cousins. Prayers of Transmittal will be held on Saturday morning, March 21, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Sheldon Funeral Home, 8206 SR6, Meshoppen, with a Mass of Christian Burial at the St. Joachim's Roman Catholic Church in Meshoppen, at 11 a.m. with Father Joseph J. Manarchuck of the church officiating. Interment will be in the St. Bonaventure's Cemetery in Auburn at a later date. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, March 20, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with a Rosary to recited at 8:45 p.m. Friday evening. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions in Rose Marie's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, PO Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
