Edgar Harden

Edgar Lee Harden, 77, of Great Bend, went home to be with the Lord on June 8, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Ione.

Also surviving are three daughters, Karlene Hobbs, Denver, Colo., Ruth Harden, Great Bend, and Tracey and Thomas Swartz, Thompson; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Setzer, Denver Colo., Robert Setzer, Kirkwood, N.Y., Samantha and Matthew Currey, Pennellville, N.Y., Sarah Smith, Stephanie Smith, both of Great Bend, and Martin and Kimberly Swartz, Thompson; three great grandchildren, Hailey Setzer, Colby Setzer, and Jayden Smith; two brothers, Kale Harden, and Donald Karl Harden; a sister, Ella Joyce Rossi; a sister-in-law, Loretta Harden; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Prior to his retirement, Ed was employed with Columbian Financial Group. He also worked for the Susquehanna County Courthouse-Security Division and was a former policeman for the Great Bend-Hallstead-New Milford Police Department.
Ed served with the US Air Force. He was a life member of the American Legion Post #357.

At his request, there will be no public viewing. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc., Hallstead.
