H. Lois Delp, 79, of Dimock, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Tyler Memorial Hospital, Tunkhannock.
She was born on January 21, 1935, in Hatfield, to the late, James W. and Katie F. (Stover) Kriebel.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Gene Hubbard, Dimock; two grandchildren and their spouses, Karen and Thomas J. Kerr, Dimock, Michael and Rebekah Hubbard, Dimock; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Katherine Kriebel, Philadelphia, Bill and Connie Kriebel, Hatfield; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joseph and Fran Delp, St. Augustine, Fla.; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Her husband, James D. Delp; and brother, Leon Kriebel predeceased her.
Lois was a member of the Dimock Christian Community Church, and the Dimock Community Workers. She was an avid bowler who worked her entire life; first on the family farm, then at the Elk Lake School in the cafeteria, and for the last 20 years at Walmart in Tunkhannock, as a sales associate.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2014, at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, Montrose, with Rev. Cecily A. Eisley of the Dimock Christian Community Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Dimock Cemetery. Friends may call on the family, Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
